• Specialized Kilimanjaro Certifications: Beyond universal certifications, our guides possess specific Kilimanjaro qualifications, ensuring in-depth expertise on the terrain and challenges you'll encounter.  Guides must study for 2-4 years to become guides on Kilimanjaro.  Guides are trained in altitude sickness recognition and treatment, wilderness first aid, emergency response and evacuation, mountain rescue, botany, environmental ethics, and client care and leadership. Guides also need basic knowledge of the mountain's routes, terrain, habitats, plants, trees and weather conditions.
